LGBT Behavioral Health & Groups

When feeling safe is almost as important as getting help, our Behavioral Health team is here.

LGBT individuals can access quality, affirming, and supportive therapy, substance use, and psychiatry at all Chase Brexton Health Care centers. The LGBT Health Resource Center also offers a uniquely tailored, dedicated team of providers who specialize in LGBT Behavioral Health needs.

Our center's staff can also help patients find expert health and wellness information available to the community, including upcoming events and programs.

50+ HIV Group
Wednesdays - 3:30 - 5 PM

A group for ongoing, affirmative exploration of self, giving voice to lived experiences, offering witness to those that have experienced similar experiences, trauma, successes and victories.

The group meets from 3:30 PM to 5 PM every Wednesday at The LGBT Health Resource Center of Chase Brexton Health Care, Fifth Floor, 1111 North Charles St. in Baltimore, MD 21201.

50+ Support Group
First and Third Thursdays of each month - 2 PM to 3:30 PM

Unstructured social support group for LGBT Elders to discuss topics of interest, health, sexuality, relationships, community, stigma, aging and other life issues.

This group meets from 2 PM to 3:30 PM on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Chase Brexton's Mt. Vernon Center, First Floor Community Room, 1111 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201.

Alzheimer's Support Group
Third Thursday of each month - 1 to 2 PM

Enhancing the lives of individuals living with memory loss and their caregivers, this group provides a safe and confidential environment for conversation, support, resources, and education for individuals who are either affected by Alzheimer's disease, or caring for someone who is.

The group meets from 1 PM to 2 PM on the third Thursday of each month at Chase Brexton's Mt. Vernon Center, First Floor Community Room, 1111 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201.

LGBTA 50+ Lunch & Learns
Second Thursday of every month - 12 PM to 1:30 PM

Monthly discussions and training centering around essential area of interest to LGBT elders. Attendance is free.

Sessions are held the second Thursday of every month held at Chase Brexton's Mt. Vernon Center, First Floor Community Room, 1111 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201.

Transcendence, Pathways to a Healthy Transition
Mondays – 5 PM - 6:00 PM

An information and support group for individuals with gender identity concerns looking to explore possible aspects of transition or may be in the early stages of a gender transition.

The group meets from 5 PM to 6:00 PM on the every Monday at Chase Brexton's Mt. Vernon Center, Fifth Floor, 1111 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
