Chase Brexton Health Care and University of Maryland Medical Systems work together to care for our expecting patients.

By the third trimester, expecting patients at our Mt. Vernon and Randallstown Centers will begin meeting with University of Maryland Medical System midwives to get ready for a healthy delivery. Expecting patients at Glen Burnie Center will continue to see their provider as usual.

Glen Burnie Center patients will deliver at University of Maryland's Baltimore Washington Medical Center.  Patients at our Mt. Vernon and Randallstown Centers will see their midwives at the Mt. Vernon Center and will deliver at University of Maryland Medical Center.

At UMMC, the new 30,000 square foot labor and delivery unit features:

  • Large, private labor rooms to accommodate both mother and baby
  • Labor rooms with bathtubs for pain management
  • Beds for partners to stay the night with mom and baby
  • Evaluation of newborn right at the mother’s bedside so the family is part of the experience

  • Spacious labor, delivery and recovery rooms
