Case manager I (MAI)
Full-time Case Manager needed to provide case management services for assigned HIV+ and Primary Care caseload as well as all clients during clinic and triage (HIV and Non-HIV). Performs intake assessments on new HIV clients. Case Management includes ongoing comprehensive assessments, referrals and linkages, monitoring, care planning, multidisciplinary teamwork, advocacy, outreach, and supportive counseling. Job duties also include completion of all documentation and data-reporting associated with providing case management. The focus will be those clients fitting the Minority AIDS Initiative target population: African Americans, substance users and gay youth.

Multiple positions available within our Mt. Vernon location.

Case Mangager I

Case Manager II

Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for ensuring adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all expenses may pass independent and governmental audits. Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational statement of financial position and statement of activities, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets. Oversee all accounts payable and payroll functions. Develops and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee federal awards and programs. In addition, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all 403(b) compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with GAAP, federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information. Attend Board and various committee meetings; including being the lead staff on the Finance Committee. Monitor banking activities of the organization, oversee investments and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs. This is a full-time employment opportunity, located in our Mt. Experience/Qualification:
•CPA required
•15 years experience in Finance (at least ten of which must have been supervising accounting professionals)
•At least five years working in finance for a healthcare organization (community-based health preferred).
•Experience managing the revenue cycle including billing, collections, and registration.
•Experience with government grants and capitation payment methodologies desired.
•Experience with health care IT applications strongly desired.

 


Clinic Nurse
Registered nurse needed to provide daily nursing care and manage acute and chronic health needs of clinic patients including assessments, education and triage. Must maintain caseload of medically complex patients. Areas of specialization include Diabetes, HTN, and HIV, HEPC, sexual health, preventative health, wound management and depression. The registered nurse is a critical leader of the health care team and is responsible and accountable to patients. The RN Assists in the development of the plan of care for patients.

There are currently two full-time positions available and one part-time position available.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
•Active RN licensure in the State of Maryland.
•Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

County Case Manager Supervisor
The County Case Manager Supervisor will be responsible for clinical and administrative supervision for assigned staff, program management and development, and providing direct case management services to CBHS patients and families. Case management includes comprehensive assessments, linkage to resources, planning, monitoring, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and coordination with other team members. Typical patients are those presenting with complex needs and requiring intensive monitoring and follow-up. Majority of services are provided on-site. This is a full-time employment opportunity.

The County Case Manager Supervisor will be responsible for Case Management program and Case Manager Staff located at the Columbia and Randallstown locations. This person will also regularly attend meetings and supervision sessions at the Mt. Vernon location.  The position will float between the two county sites: approximately 50:50.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Masters degree in social work with licensure at the LGSW level by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners preferred; or Masters degree in health-related field with licensure, as appropriate.
•At least five years of related experience in a health care setting, preferred. Related experience must include community, case management and/or outreach experience.
•Computer literate
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Family Physician
Full-time Family Physician needed to provide full spectrum outpatient services within a family practice. No Obstetrics. No inpatient work. The Columbia location will be the home site; however, occasional coverage at other locations may be needed.

There are currently two positions available. One position is located within our Columbia Medical office (target start date 1/1/2011) the other position is located within our Randallstown Medical office (target start date 3/1/2011).

Experience/Qualifications:
•Board Certified or Board eligible in Family Medicine.
•Buprenorphine certification required
•Spanish speaking preferred not required.

 


Front Office Assistant
Front Office Assistant needed to perform front desk duties including scheduling appointments, processing claims, record maintenance, payment maintenance, and general office duties. There will be daily contact with clinicians, patients, vendors, insurance companies, and employees.

There are currently two full-time positions available. One position is located in our Mt. Vernon Medical office, the other is located within our Mt.Vernon Dental office.

Experience/Qualifications:
•High school diploma, GED or equivalent, required
•Previous medical/dental office experience preferred.
•Medical/dental insurance knowledge preferred.
•Computer experience preferred.

Medical Assistant I
The Medical Assistant supports clinicians with daily care and administrative tasks, performs various medical tasks (vital signs, EKG’s), and documents information in the medical record. The Medical Assistant will have daily contact with patients, physicians, and nursing staff. Also, there is frequent contact with patient family members other employees and visitors, contracted services staff and referral to outside providers

Medical Assistants will attend biweekly Medical Assistant in-service located in the Mt. Vernon Center. There are currently two full-time MA positions available, within our Mt. Vernon location.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Required: Computer skills.
•Required: High School Diploma or GED.
•Required: Medical Assistant Training Program Graduate.
•Preferred: CMA credential (earned by successful completion of American Association of Medical Assistants’ Certification Examination).
•Front and back office skills a plus

 


Outreach Worker I - Emergency Department:
The Outreach Worker I provides outreach services for assigned caseload (HIV+). Typical caseload is 40-50 clients who need assistance in accessing CBHS healthcare services. Perform intake assessments on new outreach clients. Outreach includes ongoing comprehensive assessments, referrals and linkages, monitoring, care planning, multidisciplinary teamwork, advocacy, outreach and supportive counseling. Typical clients require moderate to intensive follow-up. Outreach workers meet with clients in the field and their homes, as well as other community based organizations as appropriate

This positions primary location will be located at the Howard County Hospital Emergency Department. This is a full-time employment opportunity. The hours for this position are M-Thurs. 2:30pm-11pm, Friday 8:30am-5pm. w/ a possibility of some weekend hours, based on need.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Minimum of Bachelors degree in related field. BSW with LSWA licensure strongly preferred.

Patient Services Coordinator
The Patient Services Coordinator will expedite the screening process in order to promptly identify patients in need of behavioral health services, schedule BH appointments and maintain the clinical wait list. This individual will also manage a behavioral health registry within the electronic patient record (EOR) for data tracking and outcome reporting. Will also perform other administrative duties as needed/assigned.

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician needed to perform all tasks related to the preparation of a prescription medication under the supervision of a pharmacist; maintains drug inventory under supervision of the pharmacist; accepts requests for medication refills from patients and prepares the medication for refill under the supervision of the pharmacist; logs prescription medication out of the pharmacy; maintains order of prescription files, prepares claim statements for processing and reconciles statements; assists pharmacist in maintaining sample medication storage and other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Nationally certified through an accredited Pharmacy program as a pharmacy technician. Registered with the MD Board of Pharmacy.
•Completion of at lease 160 hours of experiential pharmacy technician training through an approved pharmacy technician program. (1 year experience in a community pharmacy practice or minimum 4 months experience in ambulatory care or clinical rotation, knowledge of HIV/AIDS desirable, but not required.
•Fundamental technical skills.

Podiatrist
Podiatrist needed to provide part-time full spectrum office podiatric services, including consultations and office procedures such as toenail, corn and callus debridement, paronychia I and D and nail removal.

This is a part-time employment opportunity. Weekly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 8:00am-12:00pm.

Experience/Qualifications:
•Board Certified in Podiatry, w/ at least 3years of experience post residency.
•Willing to travel between sites

 


Program Planning and Development Associate
The Program Planning and Development Associate will provide operation and administrative support to the PPD department. Duties include record keeping and maintenance, purchasing, processing donations, maintaining departmental calendars, triaging requests, and other duties as assigned to facilitate the goals of the development and marketing strategy plans.

Psychiatric Nurse/Psychiatric Case Worker
Psychiatric Nurse/Psychiatric Case Worker needed to provide clinical and administrative support for psychiatric services including triage screenings, adherence follow-up sessions, medication education and support visits, facilitating treatment authorizations, medication refill requests, and treatment plans, participating in emergency on-call rotation, and participation in weekly staff and case conference meetings.

Research Manager
The Research Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the Research department.  Responsible for the effective operation of the research protocols in collaboration with principle investigator and study sponsors in accordance with FDA rules and regulations, assessment of patients for protocol eligibility through personal interviews and/or medical record review in the outpatient community health center setting, coordination, evaluation, and follow up with patients throughout the entire course of clinical trial,  performance of all nursing related functions in relation to clinical trial visits which includes nursing triage, evaluate response to treatments, treatment toxicities and the writing and reporting of adverse events, assist in the writing and submission of grant proposals, work with clinicians in the design and development of clinical and basic research studies in Infectious Diseases and Primary Care, preparation and submission of all regulatory documentation from submission, ongoing review, and study close out, review and approve all clinical trial budgets and overseeing of contract negotiations, interaction and performance of all correspondence with sponsor, sponsor designee, clinical research organizations and review boards on an ongoing basis, management of site clinical trial data, which includes input of data and responding to data related queries. Formulation of reports in response to data queries, develop and provide initial and ongoing training to research staff on current clinical trials, development and writing of departmental standards of practice, supervision and performance management of research staff, oversees the budget for the department and JCAHO accreditation (as it relates to Research).

Senior Addictions Counselor
Senior Addictions Counselor needed to provide addictions services include an Intensive Outpatient Program, traditional outpatient and individual outpatient therapy. Duties include providing screenings and referrals, conducting initial intakes/assessments, providing individual counseling, group facilitation, assessing patients for appropriateness of Suboxone maintenance and/or detoxification, and other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualification:
•Maryland masters level license (LGSW; LCSW-C; LCADC; LGADC or LCPC; CPC-AD); required. 
•Two years experience in addictions preferred but will consider new graduates with license. Experience working with diverse populations including GLBT and HIV+ persons, as well as dually diagnosed individuals, a plus.

 


Senior Billing Representative
This position is responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate billing for third-party payors and patients. This position will also be responsible for managing accounts receivable through collections and write-offs. In addition, the Sr. Billing Representative will review provider coding, including querying providers and correcting when necessary, assisting in the month-end closing process and assisting the Billing/Collections manager with other assigned duties.

Staff Pharmacist
The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counseling and educating patients and caregivers in regards to medication outcomes. The Staff Pharmacist will also provide drug information to providers and consumers serve as the Pharmacy representative to the health care communities, as requested. In addition, the Staff Pharmacist will assist in various student preceptor programs; participate in research programs and other professional duties, as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.

There are currently two full-time employment opportunities available, located within our Mt. Vernon office. Travel may be required occasionally to our Randallstown office, in the event of a staffing conflict.

Experience/Qualifications
•B.S. in Pharmacy or PhamD from an American College of Pharmacy (ACPE) accredited school of Pharmacy.
•At least one year of experience in a community pharmacy practice, or minimum 4 months experience in ambulatory care or clinical rotation, knowledge of HIV disease desirable.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, history of supervisory responsibilities, strong interest in patient adherence, ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment, ability to type, ability to operate computers and various software programs and ability to accurately document patient files.
