(7/29/25) Mint (Mentha) is an herb that contains 15-20 plant species, including peppermint and spearmint. Mint grows at low temperatures and can undergo a wide range of environmental conditions. It is often used as spices, herbal teas, oils, food, flavor, ointment, and as tribal and traditional medicines.

Fun Tips:
Mint is relatively easy to grow at home. Store mint in a reusable plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Ingredients:
2 cups water
15 fresh mint leaves
1-2 tsp of sugar or honey (optional)
2 lemon slices (optional)
Directions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add mint leaves. Steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
- Add sugar or honey, if using.
- Serve hot or if serving iced, fill glass with ice and pour tea over. Garnish with lemon slices.
